What is that godawful wagon? It's so clunky and wrong, the proportions are just out enough that it looks like a corrective shoe. Sort of right, but not quite, and you can't tell why. I hate love it.

The Eagle is in amazing shape. They sold well in New York and Vermont when they were new, but they've all disappeared here. Even AMC's factory Ziebart treatments couldn't stand up to the dry seabed our roads become in the winter.

It's an AMC Eagle. The original crossover. Or something.

It's an AMC Eagle wagon. Think of it as the first crossover, and predecessor to cars like the Subaru Outback, Volvo XC70, and Audi Allroad. They have a kind of cult following, and I for one love them.

I know, right? A few dents, but no rust or other major bodywork damage!

I agree. If I didn't know any better I'd say that Eagle was a garage queen.

Funny story about rust. My uncle has lived just outside of Pittsburgh his whole life. In 1982 he bought an F150, and Ford (very) foolishly offered lifetime rust protection. He had about every panel on that truck replaced three times. Ford eventually bought him out.

*Looks out window and sees how grey his street is from road salt, cries*

I know that obsessive amount of salt they use in NY.
